U2 GO HOME: DVD
LIVE FROM SLANE CASTLE, IRELAND

Filmed on the 1st September 2001, U2 Go Home is the first ever release to feature U2 playing to a home crowd in Ireland. Following an 80 date sell-out world tour, U2 headed home for two extraordinary outdoor shows at Slane Castle in Ireland, where the band played to a total of over 160,000 people. This homecoming concert will be released on DVD by Universal Island Records on November 17th 2003.

U2 Go Home charts an emotional return for the band: in 1984 Slane Castle was the venue for the recording of their landmark fourth album, an event which was captured in The Unforgettable Fire documentary, available here re-mastered and re-graded for the first time. The Elevation shows also marked the 20th anniversary of the band's first appearance at Slane supporting another legendary Irish rock band Thin Lizzy at the inaugural Slane Castle Festival.

The DVD includes a bonus track, and DVD ROM special features include U2 calendar, screensavers and weblinks plus three songs shot on 'Spincam' allowing the viewer an interactive, 360 degree view of the concert.

Après une tournée mondiale de 80 dates complètes, U2 est revenu à la maison pour deux extraodinaires spectacles en plen air, à Slane Castle en Irlande, le groupe y a joué pour un total de plus de 160 000 personnes. Ce concert "retour à la maison" sortira en DVD chez Island Records (Universal) le 17 novembre 2003.

U2 Go Home marque un retour émotionnel pour le groupe : en 1984, Slane Castle a été le lieu d'enregistrement de leur déterminant quatrième album, un évènement retracé dans le documentaire The Unforgettable Fire, maintenant disponible en son et transfert remasterisés pour la première fois. Les concerts "Elevation" ont aussi marqué le 20ème anniversaire de la première apparition de U2 à Slane, en première partie de Thin Lizzy, un autre groupe de rock irlandais légendaire, à l'inauguration du Slane Castle Festival.

Le DVD contient une chanson bonus, et le DVD ROM exclusif comprend un calendrier U2, des écrans de veille et des liens internet, plus trois chansons filmées en "Spincam" permettant au spectateur une vision de 360° et intéractive du concert. U2 Go Home est au format PCM Stéréo, DTS et son Dolby Surround 5.1, et en 16/9.
